View Full Version : Marketing Reps reponsible for Sales or Leads Generation?

I am the Director of Business Development at a Restoration Contractor. I am looking for other Marketing Director's opinions or Restoration owner's opinions. Do you hold your marketing reps responsible for sales on leads that are coming in? OR do you hold them responsible for generating new leads. Further explanation - We have sales estimators who go out on insurance claims after the insured has been recommended by their agent, adjuster, property manager etc... to call our company. Do you hold your Marketing representatives responsible for the sale of that lead? OR did they do their job for the generation of that lead? AND it is the sales estimator reponsibility for the sale of that lead (whether it be from a news or existing client)?

Good question!
In your scenario, I believe the marketing reps job is done by generating the lead. The responibility then moves to the sales estimator to estimate the loss and sell the company to the client and the estimate to the adjuster.

I am a sales estimator and our system is set up like Sentry states. It works well for us.
