Duct Cleaning

We are going to add duct cleaning to our list of services. What brand of duct cleaning equipment/supplies are all of you using currently? We are looking to clean ducts in both residential and commercial buildings. For those of you who are doing both water damage repair as well as duct cleaning, are you always cleaning ducts if they were affected by the water damage?

We sub our duct cleaning. As for cleaning ducts after water damage, it depends on the water category. We have a great deal of flex duct here in GA, so when it gets wet it gets replaced.

I am in Fla but work in all states, I have been happy with Abatement Technologies it can take a beaten. Our commercial projects sometimes last months. I like the commercial accounts over Res. When it comes to flex if it is bad we replace. same as duct board. I have a new aire sweep power brush for sale if interested never been used. good luck it's a good bussiness.

I am in Texas, and commercial duct cleaning work is hard to come by!!!

Residential can be good, if you get enough of it...

i'm in jersey. we do both duct cleaning and restoration, both residential and commercial. typically you'd have to sell the duct job once you've gotten in the building. presuming you get that: if the ductwork is wrapped with fiberglass on the outside, the fiberglass goes. if its lined on the inside and that gets wet, the lining has to go. we prefer armaflex to replace fiberglass, excellent and easy to install, though expensive. all the wet flex, if wrapped, has to go.

as for equipment we use, a) viper air whip systems off a tow behind compressor, or b) rotary brushes along with a hepa-aire 4500 vac(or 2500 for smaller jobs). euroclean hepa-vacs for hand-vacuuming. malcos for cutting.
